A Tranquil Escape with Unmatched Hospitality
We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay in a Japanese-Style Superior Room. The staff's kindness truly stood out, always ready to assist despite our language barrier. The open-air onsens were a serene delight, especially after dinner.

the staff was nice, but honestly, it would be nice if they offered a welcome gift or room upgrade for special guests, not just the 'regulars. ' Also, the fact that taxis wouldn't pick us up was just absurd. i almost thought of leaving a good review, but the remote location was a complete letdown.

Some parts shine, others fall flat
Private onsens added a touch of luxury , while the meals displayed exquisite attention to detail, showcasing seasonal ingredients that left us utterly satisfied.
Time limits in the onsens created slight inconvenience , and some decor felt a bit dated despite its overall charm.

The meals were a highlight, featuring an impressive array of eight courses that showcased attention to detail and seasonal ingredients, though not every dish suited my taste. The view from the room was breathtaking, enhancing the overall experience. The private onsens were a fantastic retreat, providing serenity and relaxation without the hassle of waiting times. However, the breakfast timing was a bit late for our schedule, and it would have been better if there were more flexibility in the onsen reservation system during peak hours.

This was a suitable option for resting in Takayama with reasonable value. The outdoor onsen was beautiful, especially at sunset. Consider bringing your own snacks as the dining hours can be limited.
